The History of the Suffusca Mors -Won by Craig Downing

The Suffusca Mors or, roughly translated, the "Brownish Death" is a tube of great historical significance. The first record of the Legendary Tube was it's use by Charlemagne's paladin Roland (Orlando in Italian) in the 8th century. It is said that the tube contained within it one tooth of Saint Peter, blood of Saint Basil, a hair of Saint Denis, and a remnant of the lesser known Virgin Larry. In The Tune of Roland, the tube is said to have struck down entire Saracen armies and been "unbreakable". It is even believed by some cardboard scholars that the La Breche de Roland was in fact created with the Suffusca Mors and not the legendary sword known as Durendal. Thought to be lost to the ages, the Suffusca Mors has recently resurfaced and is now in the possession of the Cardboard Tube Fighting League. The tube, which is valued at well over a dollar will be the grand prize at the next CTFL tournament being held on September 30th.
